Corduroy and twill fabrics

Corduroy and Moleskin are traditionally woven fabrics with high weft-to-warp ratio, so they have smooth weft fabric appearance, usually thick and strong, and are mainly made of 100% cotton. For corduroy, the glossy surface of the fabric is interrupted by ribs or runways at equal intervals and extends along the length of the fabric. Before dyeing, these ribs are cut into raised ribs on a special machine, which is called Welsh, which distinguishes the characteristics of each corduroy product.

Denim fabrics generally have no prominent ribs, but the overall appearance is smooth. Loomstate fabric is dyed and finished in many different ways and shades, depending on its specific end use. In most cases, the surface of the cloth is treated with brushed or suede leather to provide a soft appearance and feel.
